CROSS ROADS
Cross Roads is our original suspension and expulsion program that allows students who have been removed from school the opportunity to continue their academics in a structured environment while receiving the relationship restoration and social support they need to overcome their situation. Students attend Rise Above from Monday through Friday during normal school hours with the goal of returning them to their sending school district and with the academic and emotional stamina required for future graduation.

ACADEMIC RECOVERY CLASS
In the fall of 2020, we started a program specifically designed to help traditional students struggling in virtual environments. Due to the increase in students choosing virtual education, we have maintained the program even as many kids returned to face-to-face schooling.
The Academic Recovery Class offers a handful of features to foster a strong environment allowing these students to thrive. This includes academic and social support in an environment with high-speed internet and computer access. We also offer face-to-face tutoring for classes that may require it and structure to help students catch up on missing coursework.
Building Relationships
The most important component of Rise Above is the relationship built with each student. Our goal is to assist the teens in understanding the importance of relationships and the networks of people we build around us. In our personal, academic, and professional lives, healthy relationships play a vital role in creating long-lasting positive outcomes.
Rise Above Believes:
Relationships come first
Each relationship is unique
Relationships are meant to be shared
Relationships endure post-program
